The torrential rain brought by tropical storms Talas and Sonca triggered flash floods in 44 provinces between July 5 and Aug 15. The floods had receded in six provinces, but parts of Satun and Phichit were still affected, he said. The dam on Wednesday continued to discharge water at a rate of 1,500 cu/m per second.
